About Boys Baseball, Inc.

In 1950, Boys Baseball, Inc. was incorporated in Dallas Texas, as a non-profit corporation. It consisted of one league with four teams of boys age 13 and under. In 1970, the name was changed to Texas Amateur Baseball Congress, Inc. The organization has grown to encompass nine different age groups with age limits of 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,16 and 18. Its growth has been sound rather than spectacular. The quality of baseball has not lessened with the increase in the number of teams. In 1967 we started registering our teams with American Amateur Baseball Congress. Since then, BBI has brought 27 National Titles to Dallas. It is doubtful that any other organization in the nation can boast such a record. The best year for national titles was 2002 when BBI representatives brought home three national titles and five were national runner-ups.

The growth of BBI has not only been in teams and titles but organization as well. The organization has always had a group of managers and coaches that is second to none. From this group come the officers and directors that establish the necessary stability and continuity in a highly competitive program that has maintained the same objective in its constitution since 1950:

"...to develop baseball skill, promote good sportsmanship and furnish wholesome recreation for boys under 19 years of age; to also teach honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence to boys in their development and growth into good, clean, healthy men. This objective will be achieved by providing a supervised baseball program, keeping in mind that the winning of games is secondary and that the molding of future men is of prime importance."
